I think my love of trees crystallised the day I learnt they are made of air. Trees get their carbon from the air, not from the ground or the water... They tend to live very long lives, some are so old, that it is possible to touch the same spot on a trunk a Renaissance King once leaned against during battle. In many areas of the world, trees hold the ground we walk on, and they are, of course, "the lungs of the planet". It is hard to to watch the world refuse to recognise how important they are
My aim with most of my work, is to arouse your sense of awe about the natural world ; to be the spark.
For the vast majority of us, this sense of awe does lay dormant in our deep selves, as reliably as we possess the ability to “form tribes” (society)
