Vision

I have spent decades developing a distinctive visual language that fuses traditional mark-making with digital transformation. My practice begins with meticulous hand drawings—intimate, time-consuming, and intensely detailed—before evolving through digital processes into immersive, colour-saturated compositions.

Recurring motifs in my work—birds, flowers, trees, water—are not simply aesthetic; they operate as anchors in an ongoing exploration of what it means to be human in relation to nature. I am drawn to the tension between belonging and otherness, the impulse to merge with the natural world and the simultaneous compulsion to dominate or escape it.

These themes unfold through intricate patterns built from layers of my figurative drawings that invite close inspection.

Philosophically, my work orbits around dichotomies: what we fear and what we wish for, free will and social cohesion, Animal Nature and Human Nature, the individual psyche and the collective unconscious. I’m fascinated by the ownership—or illusion thereof—of our thoughts in a culture saturated with directives, mythologies, and "influence"

My practice serves as both inquiry and mirror, asking how much of what we feel or think truly is ours, especially beliefs that only work against us.

Colour plays a critical role in this exploration. Often jarring and hypnotic, my palettes are designed to confront, seduce, and destabilise, drawing viewers into an environment where logic and emotion, flat surfaces and depth, coexist in delicate balance.

My work sits somewhere between drawing, digital art, and visual philosophy. At its core, it is an invitation to question where we end and Nature begins—and whether that boundary is evolving.
